Community Involvement

Half-Way Motors is a proud supporter of this great community. We believe that it is important to give back to the city we’re a part of. Below are some of the organizations that we have been proud to support.

Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation

The Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation is a charitable organization that raises funds to support the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre (TBRHSC). Most of our financial assistance is directed to medical equipment purchases, but we also support a variety of TBRHSC healthcare projects, educational programs and research as needed. Helping to ensure quality patient care for the residents of Thunder Bay and Northwestern Ontario is our top priority. Visit Website

Regional Cancer Care / Northern Cancer Research Fund

The Northern Cancer Research Fund provides millions of dollars towards cancer care initiatives in Northwestern Ontario. The NCRF funds three major areas: patient care, research and prevention and education. The NCRF’s funds assist the cancer centre to provide closer-to-home care and the newest treatment methods, a world-class research lab, and countless other initiatives that improve the level of cancer care in Thunder Bay and the region.

Save A Heart

Northwestern Ontario has one of the highest rates of cardiac disease in the country. As a community we need to ensure that cardiac patients have access to the best care possible. That is why we will always raise funds to support services and equipment for cardiac patients in our community through the “Save a Heart” cardiac program. With your help, our Health Sciences Centre will be the cardiac centre of Northwestern Ontario.

  Black Sheep Cycling Club

The Black Sheep has changed a lot over the years. We have road and DH races now, as well as MTB. Our executive is leaner and meaner. But some things haven't changed - we still want to have races that are fun for everybody, with lots of prizes, and lots of opportunity to grow as a rider. We still like to travel out of town for races, and we want to help cycling grow here in Thunder Bay. And every so often, we still do something that makes no sense at all. It's just who we are.
